Games Workshop has collaborated with Complex Games Inc. to release a mobile game set in Warhammer 40,000's Horus Heresy story. The result is Drop Assault, coming soon to iOS and Android.

Drop Assault is a free-to-play tactical strategy game that promises to be a little pacier than traditional games in the genre.

Set in the post-apocalyptic land of Isstvan III, you'll be choosing to join forces with either the Loyalists or the traitorous Horus. All of which probably won't mean much to someone who hasn't heard of Horus Heresy before.

Everyone will be able to understand the multiplayer Skirmish mode, however, which pits you against one of your friends (or an enemy or stranger) to see who can build the biggest army first.
