This year, the Detroit Jazz Festival is celebrating its 34th anniversary and does so with the theme "Detroit, Jazz & You," celebrating jazz's influence on Detroit and Detroit's influence on jazz. This year’s lineup includes Danilo Pérez, Ravi Coltrane, Detroit pianist Geri Allen, Ahmad Jamal, McCoy Tyner, and Charles Lloyd. It is a supercharged roster of national jazz greats, emerging talent, and student ensembles, all spiced up with Detroit’s finest musicians.
