Description
Quick Summary : Multi-strobed strobe tuner ideal for tuning instruments with many harmonics (steel pan etc), or for use by sound engineers and professionals.---
A Strobe Tuner for the iPhone. Use this to tune your instruments. The strobe tuner will convert the sound signals into light signals on a virtual strobe that turns at the frequency of a particular note.
The strobe tuner has a very fast response rate, as it does not use complicated processing in order to estimate your tone. Rather, it visualizes the sound input relative to the inner frequency.
Features:
-> Automatic Recognition: Recognizes which note you are playing and adjusts the strobe frequency to that tone.
-> Triple Strobe (unique!): This strobe tuner displays three strobe notes at once: useful for identifying the harmonics of your instrument.
-> Tone wheel: A simple tone wheel visualizes the different harmonics of the tone that you play.
-> Timbre Visualization: Tap the screen once to activate the timbre visualization. You can see what your voice "looks" like when decomposed into different notes.
-> Chord Triad Visualization (experimental): Visualizes the sounds in a triad space.
-> Change A4 Frequency: Using 435hz instead of 440hz for the A pitch? No problem, just specify A440 in the settings pad.
-> Calibration: Do you have access to a supremely accurate sound generator? You can calibrate the device's internal frequency as well (to numbers other than 44100hz).
The accuracy of the strobe tuner is only limited by the device's internal frequency generator, which is very accurate. If you want, you can calibrate it against an extremely accurate signal generator. Tuning forks are not acceptable.
