Description

As you can probably tell, Bit Blaster is a space shooting game, done in the classical arcade style, but this isn’t any ordinary space shooting game. In Bit Blaster, you get to create the soundtrack as you play.

Your ship automatically fires for you in rhythm, and every shot plays the next note in one out of several basslines. Explosions make up the percussion section, and when you nick an enemy shield, a note from the current key’s major chord is played. During boss levels, the key changes to a minor for a more ominous sound. Every 5 levels, the key and bassline is changed, so you can hear a variety of sounds.

In keeping with the classic arcade style, all of the music has a very 8-bit sound to it so you get to create your own 8-bit symphony while blowing up alien space ships. What more could you ask for in a space shooter?

What's New in Version 1.5

This version of Bit Blaster brings several enhancements:
* Increased boss difficulty
* Highscores via Game Center
* Scaled iPad graphics mode (so the iPad game is the same difficulty as the iPhone game)
* More sounds
* Removed accelerometer control feature as it was very annoying to most people.
