Description
Vancouver’s North Shore trails are technically challenging, but there are those days when it all comes together and the results are magic. This inherent ongoing challenge fuels our passion and makes it our favourite place to ride. The present Shore is very different from the original days. Organizations like the North Shore Mountain Bike Association (NSMBA) and local governments such as the District of North Vancouver and Metro Vancouver, work together to formalize, maintain and grow the existing trail network. The current challenge is to expand the mountain bike trail diversity to provide more accessible trails that will attract riders of all abilities. If it’s one thing the ‘Shore’ is lacking, it is easier trails, but everybody will find something fun to ride.
This guide gives you two locals’ perspective on the North Shore trail network, and we have made an effort to describe a wide range of trails that can accommodate all skill levels. Rides are presented in a graduated skill and time/length format. We also encourage you to explore on your own, and find your best routes!
