Mother Chicken had two babies, one was called Patchy, and the other was called Whitey. One day they wanted to play on a meadow, so they crossed the woods and came to a crossroad.
And suddenly they saw Mr. Weasel coming to them. Mr. Weasel sawthe baby chickens, too, and he said to them hypocritically: “How are you doing, little chickens?” Patchy and Whitey were so scared that they couldn’t say anything. Mr. Weasel said again: “Don’t be afraid of me. I won’t hurt you. Where are you going now? You’re too young to walk around by yourselves. Why don’t you let me walk with you? Otherwise you could get lost.” Whitey ventured to say: “We’re going to the meadow.” Mr. Weasel said insidiously: “That’s pretty far from here. Do you even know the way? Just follow me! Let’s go left now.”......
