Travel like a local with a local. Let native San Diegan and award-winning travel journalist Alison DaRosa show you around her hometown. This simple but powerful app is the only guide you’ll need. It’s full of insider tips that will help visitors (and locals, too) make the most of their leisure time and get the biggest bang for the buck.

The app includes the latest info on the region’s major attractions – Sea World, Balboa Park and its Museums, Legoland, the Zoo and Safari Park – plus loads of other fun things to see and do, from whale-watching and paragliding to bar-hopping. The app is easy to use. There’s an alphabetical listing of the 265 entries – so if you know what you’re looking for, just scroll the main list. You can also sort by neighborhood, cost and category. Looking for kid-friendly locales? Reliable eats? Nightlife? Freebies? The app points you in the right direction. Our maps show you where the action is around your present location – or around the places you’ll visit later in the day.

Alison DaRosa is a native San Diegan and an award-winning journalist. She spent most of her career at the San Diego Union-Tribune, first covering the city and then as Travel Editor/Writer/Photographer. During her tenure, she roamed the globe and was a six-time winner of the nation’s most prestigious award for travel journalism, the Lowell Thomas Gold Award presented by the Society of American Travel Writers.
