Description

Professor Dr. Anderson Menezes speaks in this video about Gianni Vattimo. Gianni Vattimo disciple of Luigi Pareyson, graduated in Philosophy in the city of Turin in 1959. Specializes in Heidelberg, Germany with Karl Löwith and Hans-Georg Gadamer, whose ideas introduced in Italy. In 1964, he became professor of Aesthetics at the University of Turin, and from 1982 to theoretical philosophy. Taught, provided a visiting professor at various universities in the United States.
In the 1950s he worked on cultural programs for RAI. He is director of the Rivista di aesthetics, member of scientific committees of several Italian and foreign correspondent member of the Academy of Science of Turin journals.
Writes for the weekly L'Espresso, for La Repubblica and La Stampa especially for, where it produces editorial with critical reflections on politics and culture.
Received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of La Plata, Palermo and Madrid Universities.
