MyKidTrax was founded by two parents and a teenager. We're building the platform from the ground up, from the parent perspective and the youth perspective.



◦Security and Safety

Security is our number one priority. When we drew up the plans for MyKidTrax, the backend servers were our biggest concerns. Being a startup company, we knew our systems would not be the most secure so we decided to host on the most secure servers we could find - Parse. Take a look at their security, they're owned by Facebook, Inc! You won't have to worry about anyone you don't know reading, stealing, or editing your phone number, email address, or child information. Good luck, Hackers.

MyKidTrax also offers a way for users to report a child left in a hot car, a distress signal will be sent to all surrounding users of the application with the license plate number of the vehicle.




◦Beautiful Interface and Innovative Design

We know you're busy, so our team of two parents and a teenager built the program with the user in mind. The layout is designed to get you in and out and on with your day - no tedious or complex menus or animations. In. Out. Done.




◦Trusted Sitters

Unlike the slackened childcare service providers found today, MyKidTrax ensures that you know the sitter before you hire them. Our focus is to stay local and implement sitters that you already have personal connections with. If you know their username you can send them a request just by entering it. Although, both of you must accept the request - this is to prevent adding 'not-so-trusted' sitters to your account.

Before you add a sitter accept a friend request, you are able to view the sitter's profile. You can add or remove trusted sitters at anytime. Being a parent, you are not limited to only scheduling an event, you can also be invited and accept babysitting jobs.




◦Events and Jobs

There are currently two types of events:

‣In Home - For a regular at home babysitting event.

‣Drop Off - Specify a pick up and drop off location for a babysitter to transport kids to.

The babysitters you invite to your events accept the days they're available. No calling down a long list and trying to find sitters for certain days to match your complex and busy schedule. We just booked your babysitters for the next two months, in just a few minutes.

Somebody call the productivity police because we just bought you three hours of getting back to the things that matter most.

Change of plans? You can cancel events at anytime. Also, we'll notify your babysitter. If your babysitter cancels a job, we'll notify you and *automatically* re-invite all of the originally invited sitters.

Remember the hassle of trying to find a last minute babysitter? Begone stress!




◦Location Tracking

If you schedule a Drop Off event, you can view where the babysitter is LIVE.

‣No calling your babysitter to see if they arrived at the location (This can be dangerous and cause them to have an accident).

‣The current and past locations of the babysitter is updated lightening fast and presented to you on the map.

‣You'll be able to view the path the babysitter took from Point A to Point B and even reference it later through the 'Past Events' section.

*Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
