Description
The Rankins Files Magazine adds PEP to rural southwest Alabama. Stories about the People, Events, and Places of rural southwest Alabama fill the pages of the Rankins Files Magazine. Past histories are crystallized from verbal stories, often for the first time, while new stories are recorded soon after they occur. Supported by The Rankins Files Radio Talk Show, heard weekly on DIXIE 94.5 FM, magazine stories highlight People, Events, and Places folkways from the boarders of the Gulf Coast to the Wire Grass and from east and west of the Alabama Black Belt. Rural southwest Alabama Folklife comes to life on this 32 page color publication. The Rankins Files Magazine is published quarterly during the months of December, March, June, and September.
