Description

We're proud to introduce to you our brand new and

free school app with exciting new features we know you'll

love!

You'll get instant notifications straight to your mobile device when there's activity at school

relevant to you! Stay up to date with developments that affect your child's school and extra-

mural life. There's so much more…

To make the most of your app experience, we've included a few app features to protect the

things most precious to you. Your safety and that of your child are a priority for us, so we

hope to ensure you have as best a user experience as possible.

SIGN IN: Pre-approved users can sign into the app and use their cellphone number as

verification. Guests and others without pre-approval must please register their use of the

app.

REGISTRATION: Why register? Registration ensures correct and relevant information can be

communicated to you and not unauthorised persons. The school can thus communicate to

parents, staff and authorised users.

NOTIFICATIONS: Get instant notifications and stay informed concerning anything to do with

the school or your child's school including their extra-mural well-being. Notifications happen

in real-time.

FAVOURITES: Easily access information that you are interested in. This feature is useful

when you don't like looking for information by navigating the app. If you don't want

favourites anymore, simply clear your preferences.

DATA: The app is designed to receive and transmit information between the school and its

users. As such it requires tiny bits of data to function optimally. If viewing the school website

requires data, so does viewing the app.

HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL

Grey College provides a secure and positive school environment in which Grey boys can

experience success and a sense of belonging.  Parallel medium education is one of the most

important benefits of Grey College whereby Afrikaans and English speaking boys receive

tuition in either Afrikaans or English, in separate classrooms.

This ensures that each language group maintains its own identity and cultural values.  On the

school grounds, in the hostels, at assembly and during extra-mural activities boys are

exposed to both languages, and regular interaction ensures respect for one another.  A total

commitment to respect for the individual, commitment to excellence, loyalty to Grey

traditions, respect for the environment, and a Christian educational philosophy and practice

are the corner stones of our educational ideal.”
