In the thick of the Texas Hill Country, Rudolph (Rudy) Aue opened his first country store, a convenient place for locals to buy gas and groceries and to swap stories. The store added Texas BBQ to its goods and services in 1989 and Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q was born.
