When the wire is hanging vertically in the air which carries the electric current in the magnetic field, each of moving electrons will experience the Lorentz Force. And this cause the wire moving. The magnetic force on a current-carrying wire is perpendicular to both the wire and the magnetic field with direction given by the right hand rule.

Electromagnetic Force. A fundamental force in nature, the electromagnetic force acts between charged particles and is the combination of all electrical and magnetic forces. The electromagnetic force can be attractive or repulsive.

formula:

F = I * B * L * sin(α)

where:
I - current flowing through the wire
B - strength of magnetic field
L - length of the wire
α - angle between the direction of current and the direction of the magnetic field

For simplicity that α = 90° and sin(α) = 1.
