The much-hyped Diablo Immortal just received another trailer today during ChinaJoy 2020. It gives us a decent look at the core action, some of the classes on offer, and a bit of the multiplayer.
Visually, it's not too bad at all. It's very clearly a Diablo game, and it seems more or less in line with the presentation of Diablo III. I definitely like how fast-paced the combat is, and some of the abilities on show are undoubtedly impressive.

The game is now available for pre-registration in China. Planned for release on iOS and Android. pic.twitter.com/VOH1qHQDwM
I'm still of the mind that this looks neat, and the fact that Blizzard hasn't just rushed it out suggests to me that this won't be a quick cash-grab. Sure, it'll be free to play, but games like Path of Exile have proved that this can work for hack-and-slash dungeon crawlers.
I also keep forgetting that you can actually pre-register your interest in Diablo Immortal over on Google Play. That said, it's still unclear as to when the game will see the light of day.
