Slither.io is kind of a combination of Agar.io and the classic Snake, with your goal being to become the biggest snake in the arena.
You do this by absorbing the shiny floating pellets littered about like some kind of stretchy Pac-Man, and then trick other snakes into crashing into you to absorb all pellets they've consumed to grow at a much faster pace.
Getting big isn't easy. In fact, it's downright ifficult. So if you manage to get there, you'll likely want to stay here. To help you achieve both of these things, we've come up with a bunch of tips and tricks. Check them out.
Start aggressive
When you're a little snake with nothing to lose, there's no point in being cautious. At this point you should absolutely be aggressive and try and trick bigger snakes into whacking into you so you can absorb all of their power.
If you die quickly, it's no big deal as you'll just end up where you were anyway.
Mind games
Another good tactic for growing your snake is to lull any nearby snakes into thinking you're an easy target. If you hang out near another player for a while without immediately going for the kill you may lull them into a false sense of security.
Using this tactic, you can either bait those players into attacking you, or you can pounce on them at a moment's notice. Both will catch them off-guard and net you some lovely orbs of power.
Coil up
Snakes coil up when they're being threatened as an effective defensive maneuver - and that's equally as effective here, as you'll be more difficult to snare.
Be careful though, as bigger snakes won't have any trouble wrapping you up so pay attention to your environnment when using this tactic.
Big fish in a small pond
As soon as you start rising up the leaderboards, you'll probably find that you're suddenly a target for all those jealous snakes. Although being a huge snake that can coil and crush other snakes pretty easily sounds like it should make things pretty easy, avoiding trouble altogether might actually be your best bet.
Being big means you are easy to find, slower than smaller snakes, and have a lot more to lose. As a result, you can expect lots of players to dive in and try to take you down. If you calm your early aggression down once you've reached a good length, you'll likely last a lot longer.
