iOS drops today, September 13th! Hooray! If you're after how to download iOS 10, check out our guide here.
"But what's actually included in the update?", I hear you ask.
Well you've come to the right place, as we run down the top 10 new features in iOS 10.
10. Stickers
iOS 10 lets you download cool stickers from the App Store - so you can finally plaster Mario all over your messages!
9. Emoji suggestions
One feature I love on my Android phone - and dearly miss when typing with my iPad - is emoji suggestions.
It's a ballache scrolling through pages and pages of emojis to find the exact one you want - be honest, you're after the eggplant - so suggestions are a welcome improvement.
8. Apps inside Messages
This is neat. You can now use (selected) other apps inside the Messages app.
At last you can send gifs (we've finally caught up with Facebook Messenger then have we, Apple?) - and make payments, apparently!
7. Maps suggestions
If you're using Maps to get you to a destination, it will now flag up places of interest along your route. Neat if your car needs fuel, or if you need fuel. (Food. I mean food.)
6. Home
iOS 10 includes the Home app, used to switch on lights, unlock doors, and lift up blinds - though it can't get the dog to shut up, unfortunately.
5. Raise to wake
Another stolen Android feature (but hey, if anything sums up humanity at its finest, it's theft), raise to wake means you only need to pick your phone up from the table for the screen to turn on - useful for those addicted to Twitter (like me).
4. Rich notifications
Finally! Yet another lovely touch lifted straight from Android operating systems (but a welcome one nonetheless), this means you can expand your notifications to see more detail.
That's right: you don't even need to open your Mail app anymore! Hooray for laziness!
3. Photo organisation
You can now search for places or items or people that appear in photos. So if you want to see all the photos with your cat in, just search "Annoying, pointless food machine who sleeps all day". Bingo!
2. Apple Pay online
This means you don't have to go through the hassle of using your credit card online anymore: now, with Apple Pay, you can utilise an unnecessary extra layer, instead! Woop woop.
1. No headphone port
Not strictly iOS related, I know. I'm just bitter, okay?
