iOS 10 is out now! And it's full of exciting, cool, fun features that you can't wait to try out, right?
Wrong.
It's a mess. Here's why you shouldn't download iOS 10.
The improvements are pointless
Stickers. Emoji suggestions. Raise to wake.
Nearly every feature is already found in Android operating systems or on Facebook Messenger.
This is Apple playing catch up, and it shows. What genuinely groundbreaking change is in there that makes you think "I need that?".
Nothing. It's such an incremental difference, it's not worth the hassle.
It'll ruin your battery life...
You know the deal. You signed it when you bought an iPhone. You consigned yourself to poor battery life for the rest of your days, and that's only going to get worse if you download the latest update.
Say goodbye to twice a day charging, and hello to the pain of having a plug digging into your pocket at all times.
...And your phone's performance
Opening up Twitter just got a little bit slower. Your performance is about to plummet, meaning playing games, listening to music, or even googling something is about to take you three times longer.
Have fun!
It may even break your iPhone
Multiple users have reported that the update process is bricking their iPhones. Which is, y'know, not ideal.
Maybe at least give it a couple of months for Apple to iron out the kinks, eh?
