Look, The Walking Dead TV series is back. I’ve never seen any of it, I’m sure it’s lovely, and if you’re a fan then congratulations, I’m super happy for you. All I am is an SEO shark, swimming in the briny waters of the interwebs trying to snaffle up some unwary click fish.
Wow that was strained even by my low standards. Anyway, The Walking Dead, zombies, iOS gaming, basically you can fill in the gaps and figure out what the next paragraph is going to say if you’ve been paying attention.
Here are some iOS games with zombies in them because The Walking Dead is back on TV. Do people still watch TV? Or do they just illegally download everything and then moan about it on the internet? That’s probably a question for another day. Okay, list.
Dead Trigger 2
I like Dead Trigger 2. It’s big and stupid and it’s got lots of zombies in it and I think it tries to have a story but it doesn’t really work but hey, who cares, go and shoot some more zombies with your silly guns.
And it still looks great after all this time. The first one is good too. And that Unkilled game that definitely isn’t a sequel but almost definitely is. So yeah, shoot some zombies. Good. Next.
Zombies, Run!
A game that urges you to run? What a novel idea. I’ve never played it, because running would ruin my carefully crafted persona of not caring about the fact I’m slowly turning into little more than strips of fat and flesh held together by an obscure band t-shirt.
But if you like physical exercise, and you like pretending that you’re scared about pretend zombies then you’ll probably enjoy it. Just make sure you stay hydrated. And then wrap yourself up in foil when you’re done. I don’t understand running.
Age of Zombies
A cutesy wootsy top-down shooter from Halfbrick that’s chock full to the brim with the undead? Yeah sure I’ll play that. In fact I think I might have played that. I’ve played so many games it’s hard to remember what’s real and what’s a game nowadays.
Where were we? Oh yeah zombies. If you like your shooters less serious and more splurgey then give this one a go.
The Walking Dead
Well duh, obviously this was going to be on here. I mean I’m surprised I didn’t put it at the top of the list to be honest. You’re probably surprised as well. But then life is full of surprises. Like a zombie jumping out of a cupboard and trying to eat your face off.
Anyway Telltale’s sort of point and click adventure is really good. I know it, you know it, everyone in the world knows it, so let’s just move on to the next entry in the list and gloss over this padding.
Paul Pixel: The Awakening
Another point and click adventure, but this time light on the touchy feely hard decisions of The Walking Dead and heavy on the silly absurdist humour that point and click purists pine for every second of their miserable lives.
That might have been a little harsh. Anyway, zombie apocalypse, puzzles to solve, pixel graphics, almost certainly won’t make you cry. Feelings are for losers anyway. Bye.
