It’s been a pretty good year for mobile gaming. And in this article we’re going to look at the 5 best premium games that have come out in the last twelve months. It might be a controversial list, but we’re like that here at AppSpy.
Tomorrow we’re going to have a look at the 5 best free to play games of the year, but right now we’re checking out the games that you have to chuck down money for before you get to do anything.
You might not agree with us, but that’s okay. And feel free to throw your own suggestions into the mix in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Go on, you know you want to.
Punch Club
A brilliant boxing simulator that takes you through the ins and outs of a boxer’s career. And not just the boxing. You’re dealing with training, working, eating, and all the rest of the things you need to do to keep alive.
You might get mugged, you might starve to death. There are lots of options, and a wicked sense of humour runs all the way through the experience.
Deus Ex GO
The third installment in the GO series, this one is set in the dystopian futuristic world of Deus Ex, and it’s probably the best out of the bunch.
It looks gorgeous, the puzzles are incredible, and you’ll be only too happy to waste a good few hours of your life playing through it.
Severed
A wonderful hack and slash game distilled to its finer parts. Think Infinity Blade but smarter and with a more interesting art style. Oh and more cut off limbs.
It might be a port of a Vita game, but this is still a fresh-feeling, brilliant mobile experience that’ll have you cutting monsters up with aplomb. Which is the best way to cut monsters up.
Reigns
Who would have thought that the mechanics of Tinder would make such an exciting gaming experience? Not me, that’s for sure, but then I’m wrong about pretty much everything these days.
Make decisions by swiping left and right and try and keep your reign going for as long as possible. When you inevitably die your progeny takes over and the whole thing starts again.
Love You To Bits
A gorgeous looking, super smart point-and-click adventure that tells its brilliant story without using a single word. Which is no mean feat let me tell you.
This is one of those games that might have slipped under your radar in this busy year, but it earns its place on this list by, quite frankly, being really really good.
