Oh Friday. Lovely, lovely Friday. The last day of the week, time to kick back, relax and maybe play some games. But what games are you going to play? That’s the question, isn’t it?

But don’t you worry, because here at AppSpy we’re really good at answering questions. And we’re going to answer that one in the form of a list. Because research has shown that lists are the best way of listing things.

So here we go, a list of the five games you should definitely think about playing this weekend. Especially if you like playing games. If you don’t like playing games I’m not entirely sure what you’re doing here.

You don’t really make any friends in war. You just shoot people until they’re dead and get horribly traumatised. That doesn’t change the fact that this is a solid third person cover shooter with a twist.

The twist is that it’s also sort of a tower offence game. And a bit like Clash Royale. It’s also a lot of fun, so go and play it and shoot people and upgrade things.

Yes, fine, it’s an auto-runner, but it’s also a really good looking game that’s surprisingly calming. And good looking. And calming. Calm.

You’re sprinting along a series of platforms trying to keep going for as long as you can. We’ve all played endless runners before, and if you enjoyed them then try this one out.

We’ve already covered this one in our Thursday Find piece, but it’s worth repeating, partly because it’s not a vintage week for App Store releases.

It’s a puzzler that sees you rolling around, collecting nuts, and trying to figure out how to get to an exit. Definitely worth checking out, so go and check it out, yeah?

Super Gridland

A match-stuff puzzler with a twist. The twist is if you don’t match stuff you die. Not in real life. At least I don’t think in real life. That’d certainly be a turn up for the books.

Anyway, it’s a survival RPG but in match-stuff form. And if that sounds like the sort of thing you want to play, then go and play it. Go on. Go.

Lunaform

Imagine if Breakout was a game made up of neon lights and different ideas. And that it was on mobile. And that it came out this week. That’s basically Lunaform.

It’s original, it’s bright, and it’s a clever shake up of mechanics that we’ve all come to love. Why not go and get it? I mean, what do you have to lose except some money and time?
