It's Wednesday. It's come around quicker than usual because Monday was a bank holiday. At least it was in the UK. I don't know where you're from, so I'd feel bad if I said it was a bank holiday where you're from and it wasn't.

Anyway, on Wednesday here at AppSpy we like to round up the best games that are on sale on the App Store right now. So that's what I'm going to do. Even though it feels much more like a Tuesday and so I'm very confused.

As ever, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to go and download them. And there you have it, an excellent preamble to an excellent piece of content. We're all doing brilliant work,

Gamebook Adventures 9 - 99p / 99c

So right now all of the Gamebook Adventures games are on sale for 99p. If you've not heard of them, they're a series of choose your own adventure games built by Tin Man Games. And they're definitely worth playing. There's a lot of them, but for 99p a pop you're getting an awful lot of fun for almost nothing.

Catan - £3.99 / $3.99

Probably one of the best known boardgames. This one's been out on iOS for a good long while, but it's still worth picking up for slightly cheaper than usual. Don't expect action or adventure, just lots of interesting strategy.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - £4.99 / $4.99

Tomorrow is Star Wars day, so a lot of Star Wars games are going to have their prices cut. But this one is my favourite, so it's the one you should grab if you haven't played it yet. A deep and engaging RPG sat in the dim and distant past of the series. And it works pretty darn well on your phone or tablet.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - £2.99 / $2.99

A brilliant adventure that sees you controlling two young boys at the same time. It's breathtakingly good looking, and super smart too. And it has a big ol' troll in it. So really if you haven't played it yet, go and play it right now.

Chesh - £2.99 / $2.99

If you always complain that you can't remember what all the pieces do in chess, then Chesh is the game for you. Because it takes chess and just sort of shakes it around until something falls out. You get random pieces that move in random ways. And it's a ridiculous amount of strategic fun.
