It's the 4th of July. Or, as I like to call it, the day Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Paxton, and that crazy drunk guy saved the world from invading aliens. I'm pretty sure that film was a documentary, right? It looked so real.

A big flashy shooter that's got a lot more going on for your eyes than it does for your brain. Sort of like the film Independence Day. But you don't need your brain to enjoy Independence Day. Remember that bit when Brent Spiner got choked by a tentacle monster? Yeah that bit was pretty ace.

Some of Independence Day is set in space. It's the bit where Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum fly into the alien mothership and give it a computer virus. They've obviously never tried installing a program for PC on a Mac. Anyway, Galaxy of Fire 2 is in space. So that's pretty darn similar.

This is basically the story of the film Independence Day, but in game form, and with all of the superfluous nonsense cut out. Bad things are invading space. Go and stop them from doing that. Spoilers: at the end of Independence Day the humans manage to kill all of the aliens. Most of the heroes survive. Mainly Jeff Goldblum. He's so dreamy.
