Hi there Thursday party people, and welcome to another edition of oh cool it's Thursday I should probably make some content. But it's fine, because I always know what the content is going to be because I plan ahead and I am dead smart.
Thursdays are when we pick one game that came out on the App Store this week that's definitely worth your time. And I'm pretty sure we've got ourself a doozy here. Especially if you like bullets and hell.
You can click on the emboldened name of the game to download it from the App Store right this second. And if you've got your own suggestions about what game people should be playing this week, feel free to whack them in the comments below.
Yes, it's got a completely nonsensical name. Yes, it costs eight quid. But don't let any of those things put you off, because this is one of the best shooters that has landed on the App Store in a good long while.
It looks absolutely stunning, it plays with all of the slickness that the genre needs, and you're going to enjoy every second of the time that you spend with it.
As is standard for games like this, you're controlling everything with just one finger. Move it around the screen and your spaceship responds in turn.
If your finger isn't on the screen then you're not firing. And trust me, you're going to want to be firing as much as is humanly possible.
Things start off reasonably sedately, but after only a handful of minutes you're swooping through neon pink waves of hot laser death. But as tough as the game is, it still manages to make you feel like a hero.
And that's a real boon in a game like this. Sure you're under the kosh, but when you're taking down huge spaceships and blowing up enormous tanks, you can't help but feel a little bit like Luke Skywalker. Which is fine by me.
