Welcome back to the ninth chunk of our look back at the best games that came out on the App Store this year. We're into September. The leaves are starting to change colour. I mean, I know we're not and they're not, but I'm just trying to set the mood.
There are links below to all of the other parts of the series so far, there's some great games in those lists. Seriously. Tomorrow we're going to be up to October. October is probably spooky, I don't know. My brain is turning into mush.

Finally, a brilliant RTS game that was built with mobile in mind. It blends together ideas from a bunch of other genres, then wraps everything up in a slick cartoony aesthetic. There's a massive chunk of game here, and it's worth every penny of the asking price.
A first-person puzzler from the creator of Braid. It refuses entirely to hold your hand, letting you out onto an island that's full of strange symbols. You poke and prod them around trying to figure out what's going on. It's not going to be everyone's taste, but if it clicks with you it's going to suck you in in the best possible ways.
A beautifully put together space exploration game. You'll explore planets, trying to get to the bottom of some strange goings on. It's sort of like a smaller No Man's Sky, and it's all the better for narrowing its scope. There's lots of flora and fauna to find, and some of it's going to try and kill you. Best kill it first, then.
