Here it is then, the App Spy iPhone and iPad game of the year 2018. Last week we ran through games 10 to 6 on our list, and this week we've got into the meat of the story. New Star Manager
The top position in our 2018 list goes to the amazing New Star Manager. It's a brilliant distillation of a management sim that somehow makes you think nothing of pouring hours and hours of your life into it. The most we've seen so far is more than 80 hours, but feel free to let us know if you've given over more of your existence to managing New Star United.
Working your way up from the lowest divisions, you need to lead your team to glory. You're buying players, changing the staff, and upgrading your infrastructure as well. And all with the board, the sponsors, the press, and the fans breathing down your neck. We can see why being a soccer manager is such a stressful job.
The brilliant thing about the game is that anyone can play it. And you can dip in and out, rather than trying to play multiple seasons in the same setting. Basically, it's absolutely amazing and you should play it right this second. And here's to an amazing 2019!
