There aren't that many publishers working in the mobile gaming industry that we respect more than Crescent Moon Games. Here's a studio working with some of the most interesting talent going, that's always releasing really good new games. And next week could see another one of those, with the release of Galaxy Stack.

It's a game that mixes together two of the most popular genres on the App Store - the shooter, and the stacker. You're not just blasting alien invaders out of the sky in order to win, you need to make giant piles of their corpses too - just in case they weren't clear after you'd shot them down who was in charge around here.

Intriguingly this one is a premium game - it's going to set you back 99p / 99c when it lands on the App Store on Thursday next week - so it's going to be cool to see how the game monetizes, and whether or not we're going to suffer through a bunch of adverts once we start playing.

While Crescent Moon might be known for its bigger games, it's often the smaller releases like this one that really show just how much talent CM has. With simple graphics, solid controls, and a price tag a lot of people are going to like, Galaxy Stack is on course to become the sleeper hit of January.

You'll need to fight bosses, overcome some pretty stiff challenges, and make sure that the foundations of your sepulchral tower are sturdy enough to hold the weight of the dead you're going to be piling on them. Somehow Galaxy Stack manages to be charming and slightly sinister at the same time.

If that doesn't sound like a bad thing to you - it certainly doesn't sound like a bad thing to us - then you can click this link right here to pre-order Galaxy Stack. It's due to land on the App Store next week, so if you want to strut around like the early bird, it's probably worth doing.
