It seems we're still in a bit of a dry period when it comes to game releases, and also news, so today's Wrap-Up is a bit shorter than usual. I guess there's nothing for it then but to jump straight to it... this is AppSpy.com's Friday News Wrap-Up for the 8th of February, 2013.

Star Wars Pinball - Releasing as Standalone and IAP for Zen Pinball

With all the recent news and nerdy rumblings about the production of Star Wars VII, VIII, and IX (as well as the spin-off films rumored to center around Boba Fett and Han Solo), it was only a matter of time before the franchise turned its hands to videogames once again. This time around we'll be able to get our hands on a Star Wars themed pinball title, and thanks to Zen Studios it will be released as a standalone App and as an IAP for the Zen Pinball app. The table should be available later this month.

Super Meat Boy Halted - Mew-Genics now a priority release

I can't blame Team Meat's decision on this front at all - Mew-Genics was always designed to be a release on the iOS platform, but recently they've also added Steam to the list. Given how strong the support for their games are on Steam, it's no surprise that Super Meat Boy for iOS would be halted until their cat-clone-competition title is officially released. Still, we're pining for a handheld release of the meaty platformer, so we'll let you know once it's back on the table again.

Like I said, this was going to be a short Wrap-Up - we honestly can't award a Pick of the Week, so we'll have to leave it there and hope we find something better by next Friday. Peace out and have a great weekend!
