Currently in soft-launch in New Zealand, Angry Birds Transformers is a side-scrolling auto-runner crossed with the physics-y destruction of a traditional Angry Birds game.

It's a curious mix, and from the time I've spent with the game so far, a highly enjoyable one.

And as you might expect from Rovio, almost the entire production is super slick. From the smooth framerate, to the kick-ass soundtrack, to incidental details (the pause menu is just brilliant): there's a feeling of quality throughout.
