As per usual, fellow Androiders, we have been left out in the cold. Yes, another TellTale game has arrived on the App Store well before an expected Android release date. For shame.
Not to worry, though, because AppSpy has got you covered with a specially-tailored list of Game of Thrones alternatives for Android.
They may not be adventure games but we can assure you that they'll evoke a similar spirit to Game of Throne's low-fantasy, high-death count world.
1. Game of Thrones Ascent
An obvious place to start - this is an official Game of Thrones game set in the universe of the HBO TV show. It's a strategy RPG and a pretty good one, at that.
2. Ravensword: Shadowlands
Fight with a massive sword like Jon Snow, or deck yourself in armour reminiscent of the Kingsguard - the choice is yours in this massive and open RPG.
3. 9th Dawn
Another excellent Android RPG. This one models itself on Ultima rather than Skyrim, and is set in a slightly darker world to Ravensword: Shadowlands.
4. Tales of Illyria
If you're more into GoT for the political intrigue then look no further than Tales of Illyria, which has a story brimming over with the stuff. There are plenty of enemies to introduce to the blade of your axe as well, mind, so worry not.
5. The Bard's Tale
Game of Thrones may not be particularly known for its humour, but the eponymous bard in this awesome action-RPG could give Tyrion a run for his money in the snarkiness stakes. It also includes a lot (and we mean a lot) of senseless violence and murder - everything a Game of Thrones fan could ask for.
6. Simon the Sorcerer
Another snarky one, Simon could well be the best adventure game lead ever created. He's awful in all of the right ways and the world he inhabits parodies fantasy in all of the right places.
7. Broken Sword
Another excellent adventure game, and a perfect place to start if you haven't played one before. It's full of rich and interesting characters just like the cast of Game of Thrones, and the murder count over the entire franchise is almost as high.
8. The Walking Dead
TellTale may have let us down by making us wait, but we can't leave the dev's games off this list because they're, well, awesome. They're also a perfect place to re-visit to stave off TellTale withdrawal.
9. The Wolf Among Us
This one has only just made the journey over to the Google Play store. Let's hope we don't have to wait quite so long for Game of Thrones, but until then, this should sate our desires.
