The Shadowrun universe does a good job of capitalising on the twin fondnesses of 20- to 30-something gamers: cyberpunk styings and isometric RPGs.

The first instalment of this Kickstarter funded rejuvination of the series, Shadowrun Returns, was a reminder of why we used to pour hours into role-playing games without voice acting or fancy FMV sequences.

With the iOS release of Shadowrun: Dragonfall, developer Harebrained Schemes has taken the PC expansion - which added 20 hours of gameplay and a ton of refinement to the original game - and packaged it up as a standalone app.

Pocket Gamer's Harry Slater went hands-on with the game to see if it's worth your time. Check out the video above to see the results.
