Welp, it's Wednesday. I'm sort of running out of things to say about days of the week now. I'm sorry Wednesday, I feel like I've let you down. It's just that I'm very tired and my face feels really warm for some reason. What a life.
One thing I know for sure is that Wednesday is when I round up the best games on sale on the App Store at the moment. And this week there are some real gems that have had their prices slashed. One might even call it a vintage week. Some of the games that didn't make this list would have easily made it into other week's lists.
Anyway, you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to grab them from the App Store. Except the one that's got two entries. Click the prices to get that one. And if you think something else should have made it into this excellent content, feel free to chuck it in the comments at the bottom of the article.
Final Fantasy Tactics - (iPad £7.99 / $7.99, iPhone £5.99 / $5.99)
Probably the best standalone entry in the Final Fantasy series. It's a rich, deep SRPG that still stands up brilliantly even today. Full of memorable characters, superbly designed battles, and more stats than you can shake the stat stick at.

The Inner World - £1.99 / $1.99
A smart and engaging point and click adventure that's going to put a smile on your face. It's funny, it gets its difficulty level just right, and it's not afraid to play around with the shape of the genre. Even if you're not a fan of adventure games there's an awful lot to like here.

Dokuro - 99p / 99c
Guide a kidnapped princess out of the horrible castle she's been stuck in. The twist? You're one of the evil skeletons who nabbed her in the first place. This is a well balanced and entertaining puzzling platformer, and sometimes you're a prince not a skeleton. It's probably best if you just play it and find out for yourself.

Banner Saga - £4.99 / $4.99
A grim and difficult RPG that sees you trying to outrun a horde of demons. There are tough choices to make, and when your characters die, they're dead for good. It also looks like a gorgeous cartoon. Seriously I could watch the flags flap in this game for hours. Definitely worth checking out if you've not played it yet.

Limbo - £1.99 / $1.99
A classic spooky platformer that's imbued at every turn with a sense of dread. If you've not played it, I don't want to spoil too much, but oh boy that spider. Who doesn't remember the first time that happened? Am I right? You don't know? Well go and buy the game and then we can join our support group.
