Developer Trickster Arts’ MONOLISK is perhaps best described as a ‘fantasy mobile ARPG, CCG and dungeon builder in a single package’. It’s also really darn nice to look at, boasting a striking art style that I can’t say reminds me of much else out there. The game’s headed for a global release on October 15 on both iOS and Android, and you can pre-register now ahead of launch.

At its core, MONOLISK sounds like the dungeon crawlers of yore, mixing hack ‘n’ slash combat with some basic exploration. You’ll collect various equipment, ability, and creature cards in order to work your way through the many tricky dungeons. There are 5 heroes with unique playstyles to customise to your preference, and new cards can be crafted to power-up your ever-growing deck. But what makes it extra special is the fact that you can build and share your own dungeons with friends using the in-depth level editor.

The game’s now been in beta for several months, and it’s seen plenty of improvements in that time. For example, rewards have been tweaked and additional tutorials have been added.
