Marvel Contest of Champions is celebrating its 5th anniversary in style with a neat cinematic trailer that hints at the future of the game's world and extensive roster of Marvel characters.

Contest of Champions launched all the way back in 2014, and since then it's gone from strength to strength. It's now totalled over 2.8 billion hours of play time from over 215 million summoners, with a whopping 70 billion completed fights in total.

What's especially impressive is that around 0.8 billion hours of that play time and 31 billion completed fights come from this last year alone. 25 new champions have been added in 2019, bringing the game's total up to an impressive 160 characters.

Contest of Champions is of course a fast-paced fighting game where you can pit your favourite Marvel heroes and villains against one another.
