Wildlife Studios’ Tennis Clash has teamed up with the Laver Cup to bring a new tournament to the game later this week.
From Thursday, players will be able to compete in one of four leagues to win a variety of prizes. Each league is designed to be played at certain skill levels, with each player assigned to a league based on their previous performance. The winner of each league will win a pair of tickets to attend the 2021 Laver Cup in Boston. That is, unless our current global circumstances get worse and it has to be cancelled.
Runners-up will receive a limited-edition racket signed by tennis superstar Roger Federer, and third place will win commemorative Laver Cup merchandise.
“Many organizations have looked to the gaming world to stay connected to their fans this year, and that’s how this innovative partnership came about,” says Mark Panelo, Wildlife’s Vice President for Business Development.
“Working with Laver Cup allowed us to create a really fun experience for Tennis Clash and Laver Cup fans by bringing the two brands together for this special themed event,” says Ana Costa, Game Director of Tennis Clash.
The Laver Cup is an international tennis tournament held between two teams, Team Europe and Team World (the latter being comprised of non-European teams). Laver Cup CEO Steve Zacks said of the event: “We are excited to collaborate with Tennis Clash to offer this limited-time Laver Cup-themed tournament in their popular online sports game. Fans will have the chance to experience signature elements of the Laver Cup in a fun new way. The black court, gameplay, and graphics will make you feel as if your Tennis Clash character is at the event representing Team Europe or Team World.”
Wildlife’s Tennis Clash offers a mobile experience close to the real-life tennis experience, remaining faithful to both the physical and practical aspects of the sport. The game is consistently ranked among the top 5 in the sports game category on the App Store, and is also extremely popular on Google Play for Android.
The Laver Cup Online Tournament will be held in Tennis Clash from this Thursday, 24th September, for a limited time.
