Mario Kart Tour’s latest update arrives today and brings with it a whole host of creepy crawly content to dig into.

A teaser for the Halloween Tour for Mario Kart Tour was uploaded to Nintendo Mobile’s YouTube channel today, showing popular characters Mario driving around wearing a pumpkin on his head, Peach dressed as a witch, and King Boo driving a kart resembling a scary spider. Each bring their own special skills that may prove useful when trying to take the gold cup home. But besides the new costumes, another big surprise awaits players and will particularly interest fans of Mario Kart Wii.

Maple Treeway is being added as a new course to race on as part of this update, it’s a track that involves racing on tree branches, on the treetops and even within the trees themselves. While not necessarily a spooky track, this sinks in well as a new Autumnal themed race course.

Mario Kart Tour is the latest in the Mario Kart series, the first to go mobile, and involves you and seven other racers competing for first place in a series of tracks both new and classic. The Halloween Tour will have you collecting Grand Stars while completing the latest set of cups that are available. Subscribers of the Gold Pass can also win Gold King Boo as an unlockable racer if they complete enough races.

In addition to all that, the Halloween Tour also brings the Tier Shop, which allows you to buy useful items that will give you an advantage in rank-eligible cups, but what’s already available will depend on your ranking that week. The higher your tier, the greater the reward.

You can download Mario Kart Tour on Google Play for Android and the iOS App Store. It’s a free to play title with in-app purchases.
