Ogre Pixel has released Shooty Quest on iOS and Android mobile devices.
It’s an arcade game where you play as a retired archer named Hall, who is pulled away from his peaceful life after an enemy steals his precious cat, Alfador, and Hall has to go out and rescue it.
In each level you’ll square up against groups of enemies in which you have to identify their weaknesses to determine which arrow type you’re going to shoot at them. They’re smart people though and won’t just stand around to wait for you to kill them. You need to be constantly dodging their projectiles while also firing yours back their way.
There are potions scattered around the levels that provide you with more arrows to fire should you find yourself running low. Furthermore, killing crows will reward you with a variety of items that will prove handy within the midst of battle.

In total, you’ll be fighting through 36 total levels in Shooty Quest. Each one has coins to collect that can be spent at the blacksmith to purchase new crossbows and other items. For the collectors out there, there’s also a bestiary available for you to learn more about the various enemies you face in battle.
Shooty Quest comes from indie studio Ogre Pixel, which previously released the Apple Arcade title Jumper Jon, as well as the castle defence game Warcher Defenders. With its retro graphics and fast paced gameplay, Shooty Quest feels like a natural evolution of this formula adapted for new players.
You can now download Shooty Quest from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play game with in-app purchases.
