League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot’s mobile version of the popular PC MOBA, is now available on iOS and Android in certain regions. The soft launch includes Japan, The Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, but the rest of the world will have to wait until at least the end of the year to play it.
Riot has also released two trailers for League of Legends: Wild Rift to go with this soft launch, which can both be seen below. The first is a cinematic teaser showcasing Blitzcrank, Teemo, Camille and Lux fighting on the Rift. The second trailer shows a segment of gameplay from the final game, showing what to expect from the mobile MOBA.
Players in the South Korea and Japan regions can log into the game using their existing Riot accounts, which will later net them rewards based on the time and money they’ve invested into the PC version. Those who don’t yet have Riot accounts will be prompted to create one so they can earn rewards, including champions and skins, later this year.
Riot is aiming to launch League of Legends: Wild Rift in Europe, Taiwan, Oceania and Vietnam in December, while American countries won’t be able to access the game until Spring 2021, so League of Legends fans in the west will still have to wait a bit longer before being able to play. This is subject to change depending on Riot’s circumstances.
If you’re in Japan, The Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, League of Legends: Wild Rift is now available to play on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. If you’re outside of those regions you can still sign up for pre-registration to be able to get early access to the game as soon as it becomes available in your country. It is a free to play game with in-app purchases.
