Garena Free Fire has had another Elite Pass (EP) added to the popular battle royale, this time called the Ultrasonic Rave, so you can expect a musically themed EP this time around.

As the title suggests, the Ultrasonic Rave EP sports a retro inspired hip hop theme, with the new characters sporting oversized jewellery, baggy trousers and a huge puffy jacket to match the aesthetic.

As with every Elite Pass before it, Garena Free Fire’s season pass adds some new weight to the game’s lore. With the Ultrasonic Rave, the game is now focusing on a supercity that’s using a new type of music technology to bring its citizens together, and other countries wish to steal this tech to use for themselves.

It’s down to two Ultrasonic guards; Cooper and Candy, to stop this from happening and protect the city. Both of these new characters have been added to the game as new skins for you to collect, with additional items such as the Victory Tune backpack skin, the Tomb of Boom loot box skin, the Mic Drop grenade skin and the Ultrasonic Rave surfboard available to collect. To match this retro aesthetic, the game has also added an arcade game special effect for the new characters to use while playing.

This isn’t the only event current happening in Garena Free Fire, as the battle royale is also holding Halloweek, a Halloween-themed celebration which includes a collaboration with indie electronic music label Dirtybird Records, and daily log-in bonuses where you can collect spooky themed boards, parachutes and character skin items to use in-game. On Halloween itself, you’ll also be able to net yourself special magic cube fragments that can be traded for exclusive rewards.

You can download Garena Free Fire from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play game with in-app purchases.
