Call of Duty Mobile has a new season after recently celebrating its one-year anniversary, and brings with it a bunch of new content for fans to fire up.
Season 12 is named Going Dark, and for apt reasons as it introduces maps set at night. This will dynamically change the gameplay as you’re forced to use night vision goggles to find opponents. This is available on Crash, Summit, and a new map that makes a return from 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare; Hackney Yard, a small three-lane stage that features a mix of close and mid-range combat. This one can be played in both day and night variants.
Of course, with the arrival of the night modes comes the opportunity to create something a little spooky to go with it. Season 12 sees the return of the Attack of the Undead mode, but this time the zombies no longer glow, which allows them to blend in with the night.
As with every season of Call of Duty Mobile, there’s also a new Battle Pass to work through, with 50 new tiers of content to earn. Free tiers include the Ballistic Shield Operator skill and AGR 556 SMG, while the paid-for content includes the Byakko gun skin and Captain Price Cover of Night skin.
But that isn’t all, as there’ll also be a Knights Divided event going on if you’re looking for a bit more competition, in which you must conquer territory to earn rewards and special weapon sets that offer bonus modifiers.
There’s a lot more to it, including some bug fixes and quality of life changes, so it’s worth checking out the official Call of Duty Mobile blog post.
You can download Call of Duty Mobile from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play title with in-app purchases.
