FableTree Productions is releasing Serania – Path of the Scion on iOS and Android next week on 4th February.

Serania is a text adventure RPG, which is also fast-paced and choice-based, set in a Nordic medieval fantasy world. You play as a simple villager who finds themselves on the run from the King’s feared Blackblades who are suddenly hunting you for an unknown reason. You must escape and uncover your family’s ancestral history in order to get to the bottom of this.

As a text adventure game, there’s obviously going to be a lot of reading involved. If that seems overwhelming, fortunately FableTree has paced the narrative in such a way that you will never have to read long pages of text and can parse the events occurring quite easily. Along the way you’ll also make choices and perform complex actions which decides how the story unfolds.

The world of Serania gradually opens up, meaning you can explore it freely, go on missions and meet interesting characters who will provide you with intel or new quests. With approximately 70,000 words of content and 80 locations to discover, there are plenty of things to do in Serania – Path of the Scion.

FableTree Productions is made up of one developer, Peter Ravnholt, who decided to combine his talents and spend all of his spare time designing, writing, programming and composing to create a niche mobile title.

"Sometimes you just can let go of an idea. Text-based games do not have to be tedious to play. There is much innovation happening in this genre, and here is my take on how to get people immersed in reading and having fun. I feel that I'm just getting started here, and hope to bring more engaging, story-driven games to the players."

Serania – Path of the Scion will release for iOS and Android on 4th February, 2021. The first quarter of the game is free to play, then the rest of the game will cost $3.99.
