Sandwich Generation has released Make a Square, a new unique puzzler that looks both stylish and relaxing to play, on iOS and Android devices via their respective stores.

According to the developer, it’s a game that is “easy to learn but hard to master” with a simple objective: you select groups of scattered blocks and rearrange them to form a square in as few moves as possible. This involves you dragging to select the blocks you want and then moving them to fit together. Here’s a trailer to show you a bit more about how it plays.

Make a Square’s main campaign has 144 hand-crafted levels that get progressively harder, allowing you to train your brain to find patterns that seem invisible at first. However, there are also other modes available to play, such as new sets of levels that rotate daily and are tracked through the game’s calendar system.

If you feel too restricted by the moves limit thrust upon you in the main campaign, Golf Mode removes that boundary and lets you play in as many moves as possible. You’ll be able to compare your score against everyone else in the world with the leaderboards system.

But even if that doesn’t feel like enough, Make a Square also features community content in the form of custom levels you can create yourself and then share online with other users to play and rate. The game also uses additional features to improve its quality with achievements and a dark mode for when you want to relax at night.

You can download Make a Square now from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. It is a free to play title containing adverts, but you can also disable the ads and play without that interruption for a one-time fee of $3.
