Last year, Square Enix announced that it was bringing the classic PlayStation JRPG SaGa Frontier to new platforms, including mobile devices. Today, the developer and publisher announced that SaGa Frontier Remastered will be releasing on 15th April for iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

In SaGa Frontier Remastered, you choose a protagonist of your liking and set out on a story which is unique to you, featuring different goals and endings for each protagonist depending on your choices.

Square Enix has also made some big changes to the game in order to make it feel like a big upgrade over the original. This means there’s now a new protagonist called Fuse, who you’ll be able to take part with in dramatic battles by learning new techniques and being able to access sequential special attacks.

To really sell the power of modern hardware though, SaGa Frontier Remastered also has beautifully remastered graphics in HD resolution, even on mobile, as well as adding new features and events that weren’t available in the original version of the game.

This one will surely be a must-have for fans of the original PlayStation game, and will be able to find new stuff to enjoy in an already-familiar title. It’ll also be suitable for newcomers, and for those unfamiliar with it should find the SaGa Frontier Remastered wholly accessible.

You can download SaGa Frontier Remastered from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store on 15th April. It will also be available on PlayStation 4 (and PS5 using the console’s backwards compatibility function), PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
