Sixit, the new mystery puzzle game created by Star Garden Games, has now been released for iOS and Android devices after previously being available in early access.
It’s a game where you play as a small mammal called Pep, the cleverest creature in the entire forest who has been tasked with helping the people of a small village to keep them safe from an incoming storm. As Pep, you must solve the mystery of the storm’s origins before it can devastate the village’s way of life.
As you wander the forest, you can explore different locations and engage in multiple activities. The important thing is to track down six hidden treasures that unlock the secrets of the forest and will inform you on how to save the village. They are hidden around just waiting to be discovered, but it will be no easy task. Finding them all will allow you to discover the final secret of the village.
A lot has changed since the game jam version of Sixit. We've added tons of art, side puzzles, and story - but I'm amazed how little the core puzzle design changed. The "last 20%" of a game really does take 80% of the effort.#indiedev #gamedev #GameMakerStudio2 pic.twitter.com/BpJqzyyLtm

Sixit also introduces a new angle that twists the usual puzzle format. You can only take six actions per playthrough, meaning your entire progress can change depending on a limited amount of actions you take. This means you must ensure each action you make is really the best one, because there isn’t a lot of margin of error.
The controls of Sixit are also very straightforward, utilising a touch and hold system to control the main character. When you combine it with the game’s simple, hand-drawn illustrations, it’s an extremely cute game.
You can download Sixit now from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it’s a free to play title with adverts and in-app purchases.
