Lowtek Games has launched Bowl ‘Em Down, its first game for iOS platforms, after originally releasing it on the Google Play store late last year. You can now access the game on both iOS and Android devices.
Bowl ‘Em Down is an interesting one. You have to roll a bowling ball down a series of infinite lanes comprised of bowling pins and other obstacles. Hitting the pins gives you score while the obstacles, such as barriers and saw blades, will try to sabotage your run.
The level is infinite and also randomly generated, meaning you will always be seeing a new course every time you start a run. The game is really about setting high scores and trying to beat them, using the points earned to unlock new costumes for your ball.
The twist? If you fail by hitting an obstacle, Bowl ‘Em Down also has a feature to let you save yourself: your voice. If you want to keep playing and continue building your score, you’ll have to scream into the microphone on your mobile device. Every time this happens, you need to scream louder than the last time to keep playing.

This concept came from the mind of developer Ally Low, who once wondered how a bowling ball would feel as it rolls down the lane towards the pins. It is most likely a scary experience, so they imagined the balls to be screaming, which is where the scream idea comes from. Low calls Bowl ‘Em Down an “anti-social game”.
If you want to scream the house down with these antics, you can now download Bowl ‘Em Down from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it is a free to play game containing adverts.
