XD Inc has announced that they're partnering with Humble Games and Contingent99 to bring the popular dungeon-crawling roguelike, Wizard of Legend, to iOS and Android. XD will be publishing the game's Chinese edition, whilst Humble Games will distribute it to the rest of the world.
As you would hope, Wizard of Legend mobile won't be a direct port of the PC version. Instead, XD has revamped the UI to better suit touch screen devices alongside crafting an entirely new control scheme to allow players to pull off advanced moves on their phones. It will also feature LAN Multiplayer. Players can connect their device to the same WiFi as one of their pals to enjoy the game together.
If you're unfamiliar with Wizard of Legend, it is a roguelike dungeon crawler that sports a lovely pixel art aesthetic. It sees players battling their way through a series of randomized floors, using a variety of spells to help vanquish enemies and powerful bosses. There are hundreds of combinations of relics, spells and outfits to discover that promise to keep each run interesting.
As mentioned above, players can also hop into the same game to overcome the dungeon together in PvE. However, there is also a PvP option available for those feeling a little more competitive and become recognised as the ultimate wizard.
Wizard of Legend will launch on the App Store and Google Play at some stage in the future. There is no confirmed release date just yet or details on pricing, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as and when we learn more.
