Garena Free Fire's previously teased McLaren collaboration is now live in the ludicrously popular battle royale. It will introduce numerous elements across the game, including an overhaul of the lobby, which will become a garage that's home to several McLaren P1s.

Elsewhere, players will notice other mechanics and features sporting the signature papaya orange and blue colour scheme, including the airplane, airship, and airdrops. Players can also pop a McLaren fuel station onto Spawn Island. Here they can potentially win some gold and diamonds.

A collaboration event feature will then kick off from July 23rd that's called Race to Ace. It will see players netting themselves rewards every time they complete a lap, whilst finishing five will earn them the grand prize. After that, they can continue racing to earn even more rewards.

Players will choose from four McLaren P1s, with each possessing a different base speed. However, if there's one player's favour over another, they can switch between them anytime during the race. It's also worth keeping an eye out for Chequered Flag tokens as they provide a handy speed boost. If that's not enough speed, inviting friends to take part will also produce a speed boost.

If you're, somehow, unfamiliar with Garena Free Fire, it's an incredibly successful battle royale game that recently hit one billion downloads on Google Play alone. The developers regularly host interesting collaboration events that have previously included partnerships with the Netflix Original series Money Heist, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Street Fighter V. They aim for wide variety, that's for sure.

Garena Free Fire is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
