Niantic has announced that August's Community Day will feature Eevee. Unlike most Community Day events, the evolution Pokemon's moment in the spotlight will take place over two days instead of the usual one on August 14th and 15th between 11 am and 5 pm local time each day.

However, several bonuses will be active longer than that, from Friday 13th August to Monday 16th August. During this time, evolving an Eevee will result in its evolutions learning a variety of moves. They include:

  • Vaporeon - Scald
  • Jolteon - Zap Cannon
  • Flareon - Superpower
  • Espeon - Shadow Ball
  • Umbreon - Psychic
  • Leafeon - Bullet Seed
  • Glaceon - Water Pulse
  • Sylveon - Psyshock

Meanwhile, any Eevee caught or hatched will know Last Resort. It's also a great time to get a Sylveon, as this evolution will only require seven hearts instead of the usual 70. If you'd prefer to get a Glaceon or an Umbreon, however, you can earn a Mossy and Glacial Lure Module by completing a special Timed Research.

As for the Community Days themselves, Eevee will appear more often in the wild with the chance of running into a Shiny variant. If players opt to purchase a ticket for $1, they'll get access to the Eevee Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, What You Choose to Be. Meanwhile, Eggs will take one quarter the usual distance to hatch, whilst Incense and Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

Pokemon Go is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
