Swedish publisher Thunderful Games announced that Super Meat Boy Forever, developed by Team Meat, will be released on the mobile platform next year. If you are into hardcore platformers, it is highly possible you have played or at least heard about the Super Meat Boy series.

Super Meat Boy Forever will finally arrive on mobile devices in 2022 after being successfully released for Nintendo Switch, PC, and current-gen consoles on December 23, 2020. It was announced that the game would release on mobile back in 2014.

Frequent updates were announced, but there were no concrete indications about the mobile version's release. Surprisingly, one day at Thunderful World Digital Showcase, the release was announced. A trailer was also unveiled, showing the game's shift from PC to mobile. We can see in the trailer that the antagonist Dr. Fetus tries to kill the protagonist, Meat Boy, who has emerged from a PC with his mobile phone.

Super Meat Boy Forever Mobile: Information you need to know

Super Meat Boy is the prequel to Super Meat Boy Forever, an auto-runner platformer game developed by Team Meat. In the prequel, Meat Boy, the protagonist, is a piece of animated meat that tries to save his girlfriend from the evil Dr. Fetus.

But in Super Meat Boy Forever, it takes things a bit further as Meat Boy and Bandage Girl now have to rescue their daughter Nugget from Dr. Fetus. The most astonishing part is that the sequel has a collection of 7000 different levels.

It is still unclear whether the game will be available as a free-to-play game or a paid mobile game. For consoles and PCs, Super Meat Boy Forever, which is the sequel, is available at Epic Store, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One for $19.99. So expecting it as a paid title on mobile devices is a pretty reasonable guess.
