Can’t get enough of that pixel-art flavour? Pining for some more iPhone retro goodness?
Well, your luck is most certainly in, for the dream team of Superbrothers (publishers), Capybara (developers), and Jim Guthrie (singer-songwriter) have realised one of AppSpy’s fantasies.
This top triumvirate’s debut iPad release Sword & Sworcery EP sent shivers down the spine, defying conventional description and positively revelling in the fact it was doing so.
Interlacing elements of exploration, puzzle-solving, mystique, and combat into one gloriously decorated weave, this sophisticated adventure is now heading to iPhone for $2.99.
As revealed by the makers on that trendy modern medium Twitter, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP Micro will appear on the App Store shortly BEFORE 21st April.
So, today, in effect.
And to all those sceptics, worried that the Sword & Sworcery magic won’t translate well to the iPhone’s smaller screen, here are some reassuring words from the horse’s mouth:
The S:S&S EP project began life on the smaller touchtronic machines so many of the key art & design decisions were made with this very particular form factor in mind.
While the size of the iPad is certainly a treat for S:S&S EP, the tiny machine is definitely 'the way it was meant to be' - it's an entire little world you can slip into your pocket at any time.
Look out for this wee gem throughout the day...
