Fans of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead movie trilogy can ogle some shiny new images from the soon-to-be-arriving movie spin-off iOS game.

Players can take on the role of Ashley J. "Ash" Williams, as he mutilates his way through hordes of Deadites, rescues his friends, and takes down bosses. All this with his trademark boomsticks, axes, and chainsaws in tow.

As you can see in the screenshots, the game has a distinctly chibi style with super deformed characters sporting massive cartoon noggins as they dish out mass zomicide.

Early reports indicate that while the game follows the same storyline as the movies, there are other plotlines involved to keep things interesting.

You'll be able to play through this ample 30-level shooter when it's released next month on iPad and iPhone.
